Is your new house up to the standard? The qualified rate of indoor air inspection for newly decorated houses in Nanjing is less than 70%

The intersection point detection of indoor air of 200 newly decorated houses, a pass rate of only 64.5%. Nanjing Quality Supervision Bureau released the results of free indoor air quality test of Nanjing residents in December 25th. According to the test results, the indoor air quality qualification rate is significantly lower than the low temperature month in the high temperature month. Quality inspectors remind consumers that the summer is high temperature and high humidity, and the formaldehyde emission is large and the release rate is fast. If there are conditions, the newly decorated houses should live in a summer.

The rate of qualified in summer is obviously lower

From 2008 onwards, the Nanjing Municipal Bureau of quality supervision for the public to carry out free indoor air quality testing activities, this year the Nanjing Municipal Quality Inspection Institute of national building materials product quality supervision and Inspection Center (Nanjing) undertook the task of detection, 200 households in Nanjing City, the air quality sampling work. This event is decorated with a new house, or the old room is refurbished for half a year and the family is not occupied for the first time. From the test results, the overall pass rate is 64.5%, the average pass rate of formaldehyde is 74.5%, the average pass rate of benzene is 100%, and the TVOC (total volatile organic compounds) average pass rate is 83.5%. As the test crosses the spring, summer and autumn three seasons, the rate of indoor air quality is obviously lower than the low temperature month in the month of higher temperature.

Be carefully checked in for three months
In the test, there were 71 households with unqualified items, and 40 families in the end of three months, accounting for 56.3% of the total number of unqualified families. Most of the households with high content of formaldehyde and TVOC were completed for 1 to 2 months. From this can be seen, within 3 months after the completion of the decoration, indoor air pollutants in a high concentration, carefully choose the time to stay. It needs to be reminded that after the completion of the decoration, some households did not keep the indoor ventilation well, resulting in the release of pollutants accumulated indoors, and they could not be effectively distributed to the outside, prompting the indoor pollutant concentration exceeding the standard.
The complexity of the decoration is also easy to cause the pollution to exceed the standard
Judging from the test, the indoor air quality is not satisfactory due to the short time of completion and the inappropriate selection of decoration materials, so too much decoration is also worth noticing. In order to pursue the beautiful and complex interior decoration effect, some families use artificial board, wallpaper, latex paint and complex furniture in large area. When these products are detected separately, the amount of pollutant release may reach the standard, but when they are concentrated in a certain area, the amount of pollutants released will form a superposition effect, which will increase the concentration of pollutants in the air, resulting in the excessive content of pollutants in indoor air.
The suggestion of consumption
Select regular brand products
Households in the choice of decoration materials, should try to choose big brands, and note the product packaging logo, not to buy "three noes" products, should also be eligible to take the initiative to report to the shop for the product or certificate, to fully consider the raw materials, production and transportation costs of goods and moderate commercial profit other factors, not only cheaper, to buy the product with very low price. After the renovation in addition to maintain indoor ventilation, the public can also use green, Fuguizhu, grapefruit peel, pineapple, tea and other natural plant absorption and purification of indoor air pollutants. It needs to be reminded that the use of plants to purify indoor air should be periodically rotated to ensure the sustainability of the adsorption and purification effect.
Appropriate decoration is the most important
Different indoor decoration materials, the pollutants emitted by them are constantly stacked in the indoor environment, so complex decoration will lead to the increase of total pollutants. It is suggested that consumers should not pursue excessive and complex decoration effect. In addition to the indoor air inspection, we should choose a regular inspection organization. In the near future, the Shenzhen Institute of quality and consumption has carried out a comparative experiment on the electronic detection instrument / box for indoor air pollutants. The test results show that the uncertified instruments have poor accuracy and low reliability. The test results may mislead consumers, remind consumers to purchase cautiously, and better find the inspection agencies with indoor environmental qualification.
